Volkswagen Academy China

Volkswagen Group China is about building a brand new training academy in order to guarantee driving and safety trainings and driving events on a constantly high quality level all over the country. The first major project for the Volkswagen Academy China is the implementation of new quality standards for test drives with all car models for every dealership. Therefore 1000 dealers are to be trained as test drive specialists.

We designed and realized in a big two-phase project the kick-off of this ambitious project.
The first step consisted of an intensive 11-days Train The Trainer program covering overall driving-trainer skills and the modules On-Road driving, Off-Road driving, Sports-driving and ECO-driving in theory and practice. Our trainees showed with lots of interest, expertise and delight in learning their commitment and proved that they are up to the responsibility of being driving and safety instructors for Volkswagen China.

Directly following the Train The Trainer course we realized the project-pilot for the testdrive improvement training in cooperation with our new Chinese colleagues. 50 Volkswagen dealer test-drive specialists from all over the country participated on this as well demanding as diversified test-drive improvement and driving training.

During this challenging project we had not only the possibility to share a lot of knowledge but we learned also a lot about China, the automotive market of this huge country, the culture and the consumer behavior.
