Transeurasia World Record

The experience team Matthias Göttenauer and Andreas Renz did it again!
In 1999 they realized their first world record project on the famous Panamericana Route with the VW Multivan Syncro TDI. They managed to travel the Panamericana from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in only 15 days, 14 hours and 6 minutes and established the so far unbeaten Guinness World record on this route.
Now, 10 years later, they established another world record with the new VW Caddy Maxi Life 4MOTION. From Lisbon in the very West of Portugal the route lead trough the Eurasian continent over exactly 15.408 km to Magadan in the extreme East of Russia. It took the team 8 days, 13 hours and 30 minutes to cross eight countries and eleven time zones. With this great result they established a new world record by covering the longest possible distance from West to East on one continent in best time.
